If you sign in to Sektra with an email address and password, the Password card under Settings, Profile changes it. Other devices are signed out when it changes. If you sign in with Google, there is no password to change and the card does not appear.
- Open your profile
Go to Settings, then Profile. The Password card sits between Personal information and Preferences.
- Enter the current and new password
Fill in Current password, New password and Confirm new password. Each field has an eye to show what you typed. The button stays disabled until all three are filled and the two new ones match.
- Update
Choose Update password, or press Enter. Sektra may ask you to sign in again first if your last sign-in was a while ago. A toast confirms Password updated.
- Sign back in elsewhere
Every other session is signed out. The device you changed it on stays signed in. Sign in again on your phone or other computer with the new password.
If it is refused
Current password is incorrect means the first field is wrong. A new password that appeared in a known data breach is refused; pick a different one. Too-short or weak passwords are refused with the reason.
If you forgot it
Sign out and use the forgot password link on the sign-in page. A reset link goes to your sign-in email.
If you sign in with Google
Your Google account is your sign-in, so there is no Sektra password. Change the Google password in your Google account; Sektra follows.
Your sign-in email
The email address you sign in with cannot be changed from Settings. Write to support if it has to move.
