Each inbox has a setting that decides whether a conversation your team started, with no reply yet, appears in the main list. Incoming hides it until someone outside writes back; Incoming and Outgoing shows it from the moment it is sent. New inboxes default to Incoming, which is how Gmail's own Inbox behaves.
Where the setting is
Settings, then Inboxes, then the inbox, in the Preferences card. A shared inbox has the setting for All and for Mine; a personal inbox has it for Inbox. Pick Incoming or Incoming and Outgoing for each and save.
What Incoming does
- A conversation the team started waits in Sent until the other side replies. The reply brings it into All (or Inbox) and marks it unread.
- Every row in All has at least one received message, so no row reads To: name.
- A reply sent from Sektra to an archived conversation reopens it, in Sektra and in the mailbox, as before.
What Incoming and Outgoing does
- A conversation the team started appears in All (or Inbox) as soon as it is sent, labeled To: with the recipients, until the other side writes.
- Once a reply arrives the row is labeled with who wrote, like any other.
Sent, Mine and the Unified Inbox
Sent always shows what the team sent, labeled To:. Mine shows everything assigned to you or in your personal inbox, sent or received, whatever this setting says. The Unified Inbox applies each inbox's own choice row by row.
Undo on a reply
Undo inside the send window puts the conversation back exactly as it was. If the reply reopened an archived conversation, it is archived again and the mailbox is told, unless a newer message arrived or someone moved it back to the inbox.
Updates
The same card has Updates: Separate section keeps newsletters and notifications in their own section; Show in Inbox lists them with everything else. Sektra sorts Updates from Gmail's categories, Outlook's Other, and from headers on IMAP.
