Action items, the bell and the daily digest

The three places Sektra tells you about things: the action items queue for what you owe, the bell for what happened, and the digest for one morning email.

Sektra separates what you owe from what happened. Action items are the queue of obligations with a lifecycle: reminders, follow-ups, scheduled actions, tasks, watch alerts and jobs. The bell in the top bar is a chronological record of what happened to you: a mention, an assignment, a reminder that fired. The daily digest is one email each morning assembled from both.

Action items

Press Cmd+K and open the Action items tab, to the right of Assistant. Rows are grouped as Overdue, Today, Upcoming, No date and Done, across every inbox you can read. The badge counts overdue plus due today. Each row is personal; a teammate does not see your reminders.

Below the queue, Suggested lists what Sektra found in your threads without being asked: promises with a date, deadlines the other side set, and conversations that owe a reply. Dismiss hides one; Promote turns it into a dated task. A needs-reply row clears itself when the reply is sent.

Rows are created in conversation with the assistant, which restates what it will create and asks before creating it. For a reminder on a thread it also asks whether to snooze the thread until then. Complete, Dismiss, Cancel and Reschedule are on each row.

The bell

The bell shows mentions, assignments, reminders that fired, watch alerts, job results, failed scheduled actions, inbox activity (a teammate set up an automation on a shared inbox) and meeting reminders. Opening it clears the badge. Each row marks itself read when you engage with it, and deep-links to the thread, the action item, the conversation or the settings page it concerns. Several mentions in one thread collapse into one row with a count. Your own actions never notify you.

Notifications settings

Settings, then Notifications, has three switches: Push notifications (a system notification when Sektra is open but not the window you are in), Notification sound, and Email notifications. Below them a matrix sets push and email per type, so you can keep mentions on push and reminders on email. In-app delivery is always on. The browser has to allow notifications for push to show.

The daily digest

Settings, then Daily Digest. Turn on Email me a digest and pick its sections: What I owe today, Priority for the day, Waiting on my reply, and Commitments and deadlines this week. The others are Waiting on them (threads gone quiet while you wait on someone else), Since yesterday, Open alerts, and Scheduled today. Choose 7:00, 8:00 or 9:00 in your time zone, weekdays or every day, which inboxes, and the address it goes to. Skip when there is nothing to say is on by default.

Rules and watches

Settings, then Rules and watches, lists the watches, scheduled reviews, alerts, scheduled actions and jobs running for you and on your shared inboxes. Anything set up on a shared inbox is visible to every member of that inbox. The owner or an inbox manager can remove it, and the owner is told when someone else does.

Contact support
Why did a reminder show in the bell and not in action items?

A fired reminder is done: the bell row is its record. Action items hold what is still owed.

Can a teammate see my action items?

No. Reminders, tasks and personal watches are yours. Watches and scheduled actions on a shared inbox are listed for every member under Rules and watches.
