Your first hour with Sektra

Connect an inbox, let the import run, meet Lens and the assistant, invite the team, turn on assignment, and set your notifications.

Sektra is a separate workspace that syncs two ways with Gmail, Outlook, IMAP and WhatsApp Business. Mail stays where it is. This checklist takes a new workspace from empty to working in about an hour, with the import running in the background while you do the rest.

  1. Connect your first inbox

Go to Settings, then Inboxes, and choose Connect an inbox. Pick Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, WhatsApp Business or Other email. Choose Shared for an address the whole team works, or Personal for your own. Leave Import earlier emails on so search and the analysis have history to work from.

  2. Let the import and the analysis run

Sektra imports the newest 50,000 emails of the inbox in the background and reads the most recent conversations first. Ranked threads appear in the Priority section within a few minutes. The Getting started checklist on Home offers a short tour of each part once it is ready.

  3. Open a thread and read Lens

Open any conversation. Lens is the panel on the right: the relationship behind the thread. It shows who is waiting on whom, the last and first contact, open promises and the history of every earlier thread with that contact.

  4. Ask the assistant one question

Press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and switch to the Assistant tab. Ask what needs you today, or open a thread and ask what was promised. Every answer cites the messages it came from, and the assistant checks with you before it changes anything.

  5. Invite the team

Settings, then Team, then Invite teammate. Each invite uses a seat. Once someone accepts, open each shared inbox under Settings, Inboxes and use Manage access to say who can read and reply from it.

  6. Turn on auto-assignment

In Settings, Inboxes, open a shared inbox and find the Auto-assignment card. Turn on Assign new conversations, pick Round robin, choose the teammates in the rotation, and leave Skip automated mail on so newsletters and receipts stay unassigned.

  7. Set notifications and the daily digest

Settings, then Notifications, decides which alerts reach you by push and email. Settings, then Daily Digest, turns on one morning email with what you owe today, your priority threads and who is waiting on your reply.

  8. Choose where Sektra opens

Settings, then Profile, then Preferences, has Open Sektra on. Pick Where I left off, the Unified Inbox, a group or one inbox, and the section to start in.

What runs without credits

Priority scoring, thread summaries, auto-tagging, assignment rules, the typing indicator, the memory layer and search run on every conversation as it arrives at no extra cost. Credits are the pooled monthly allowance your plan includes, spent only when a person asks the assistant a question, requests a draft or creates an action item. See How the trial, seats and credits work.
