Pick the mailbox
Choose Outlook under Add inbox and enter the address. For a shared mailbox, enter its address and sign in with an account that has access to it.

Sign in with Microsoft
Microsoft asks you to approve Sektra for that mailbox. If your company requires an admin's approval, Sektra shows you exactly what to send them.

Choose what syncs
Decide whether a thread read by one teammate counts as read for everyone, switch on category, flag, archive and trash sync, and choose whether earlier mail is imported.

Microsoft tells Sektra the moment something changes, and Sektra double-checks the mailbox every few minutes so nothing is missed.
Outlook and Sektra keep the same picture
Microsoft tells Sektra the moment something changes, so a reply, a category or a flag set in Outlook shows up in Sektra, and the other way round. The mailbox stays in Microsoft 365.
The history is read on day one
When a mailbox connects, Sektra reads its newest 50,000 emails in the background, newest first, and builds the record of each client from them. Drafts, Deleted Items and Junk are skipped.
Replies go out from the mailbox, written in Sektra
A reply written in Sektra leaves from the mailbox address and lands in Sent Items like any other message. The person on the other end sees a normal email from you.
Microsoft sign-in
Mail access is granted on Microsoft's own approval screen. Sektra never sees your Microsoft password.
Admin approval when your company needs it
If your Microsoft 365 setup restricts outside apps, Sektra shows the exact request to send to your admin, once.
Encrypted end to end

Does this replace an Outlook shared mailbox?
No. The shared mailbox stays in Microsoft 365. Sektra adds ownership, notes, assignment, the memory layer and the assistant on top of it.
Does a shared mailbox need a license?
A Microsoft 365 shared mailbox under 50 GB needs no license of its own. Sektra connects it through an account that has access to it, and that account's sign-in is what Sektra uses.
What about Focused Inbox?
Sektra keeps Microsoft's Focused and Other split. Focused is the inbox and Other becomes the Updates section, which is one of the things Sektra weighs when it ranks a thread.
Does it need a Microsoft 365 admin?
Only if your company restricts outside apps. Sektra shows the exact approval request to forward when that is the case.
Do Outlook categories show up in Sektra?
Yes. Categories become tags with the same names and colors, and a tag added in Sektra becomes a category in Outlook. Flags become stars.
What happens to a folder I made in Outlook?
Folders become tags when import is on at connect. Mail that arrives in a folder later keeps the tag. A folder renamed in Outlook shows up as a new tag.
